We’ve made some important changes to keep our customers and our staff safe
We want to assure all our customers that we are adhering to all government guidelines regarding PPE, social distancing and hygiene.
We are taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the business continues to support local customers and our employees. We are constantly keeping up to date with the announcements and guidance to proactively plan ahead.
Based on the latest government announcement, as we are a manufacturing business, our office and warehouse can remain open under our well developed COVID-19 secure conditions. We are still able to offer free home consultations, measuring and fitting appointments, or we also have the ability to offer virtual consultations if you would prefer this option - more information is available below.
At A1 Blinds our highest priority is keeping our customers and staff safe and we’ve made some important changes to the way we work in order to do this. Please see these outlined below:
Due to the latest government guidelines, our showrooms are closed until further notice.
All our showrooms will be adhering to social distancing guidelines to ensure that our customers and staff feel as safe and as comfortable as possible.
We ask that all customers who visit our showrooms, please abide by the social distancing guidelines.
There will be hand sanitiser available upon entry and at various locations around the showroom.
All of our showroom advisors have been provided with adequate PPE.
Home consultations & fittings
We are still able to offer in-home consultations, appointments and fittings.
Our design consultants will only attend consultations if they and their household are free from Coronavirus symptoms for a minimum of 14 days.
Our estimating and fitting teams will ring you prior to arrival to confirm that no-one in your household has taken ill or is self-isolating. Please note: if someone has taken ill or is self-isolating, we will be unable to fulfil the appointment but will rearrange for a later date.
All our advisors and fitters have been provided with the relevant PPE in the form of face masks and gloves. They also have hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes.
Our advisors will stay 2 metres away at all times.
Our advisors have been instructed to touch as few surfaces as possible, and we ask that you please ensure all internal doors leading to the fitting or consultation area are left open.
We ask that only the adviser can touch the sample book in order to keep them safe for every customer.
For measuring and fittings, we ask that you please ensure these areas are free from obstacles such as furniture and other items – this helps our advisors to touch as little as possible in your home.
Our preferred method of payment would be by card rather than cash
Our factory has been arranged to adhere to social distancing guidelines ensuring that our staff remain safe at all times.
We have fitted the relevant signage, implemented one-way routes around the workplace and provided the relevant PPE for our staff.
There are washing and sanitising stations positioned at different locations around the factory to ensure our working environment remains hygienic and safe whilst we make up our customers blinds.

In order to ensure that you get the very best service and high quality finish, two different colleagues will need to visit you across the design consultation and fitting appointments. Only one person at a time will ever attend your home consultation and a maximum of 2 people for fitting (depending on the ability to do the job safely). All staff will will wear protective clothing and observe social distancing at all times.
We offer a FREE design consultation and this can either be our in-home service or our virtual service. You can request an in-home appointment here or a virtual appointment here. If you had to cancel an existing appointment as a result of Coronavirus, you do not need to do anything. Your design consultant will contact you shortly to re-schedule.
We are monitoring the health of our design consultants and their families on a daily basis. Only consultants in households that have not experienced any Coronavirus symptoms for 14 days will be able to carry out in-home appointments. For the safety of everyone, your design consultant will contact you on the morning of your appointment to confirm that they are fit to attend and to check that you and your family are also well enough to continue with the appointment.
Your design consultant will be wearing essential protective clothing throughout your appointment, and will ensure a distance of at least 2m is kept between you at all times.
Please help us keep you safe by joining your consultant in observing social distancing measures in the home, and protecting family members and pets by moving into a different room for the appointment.
Once we have received your measurements, we’ll start manufacturing you bespoke window blinds. We are working with reduced teams at the moment in accordance with government social distancing recommendations, so it may take us a little longer than usual to prepare your order. We’re grateful for your custom and patience at this time as we adjust to these new safety measures.
